​"I gave birth to my second daughter in September 2016, but because of a small hip injury during my first one about 18 months before then I had basically given up working out altogether. So when I first met with Ilya for my assessment I had about 20 lbs to shed. He immediately struck me as very knowledgeable. The assessment and the first session were complimentary, and it was extremely convenient to have the option of having him come to my building's gym to train. We discussed my goals in depth and he structured a training plan that would not interfere with breastfeeding and recovery. Once my profile was created, I was also granted access to a diet/food log app that proved very helpful in reaching my goals; at first, seeing 1300 cal/day as my goal intake left me a bit skeptical (everywhere else, I would read to keep it at at least 1800 cal in order to keep my milk supply up - which wasn't helping me lose the weight at all), but I gave it a try anyway. I am glad I did, as after three months I only have 2-3 lbs left to go (I have lost 19 lbs so far) and my baby is still thriving :) plus, you get one cheat day a week! So you don't really feel deprived. I really enjoy my sessions and the variety of exercises I get to practice; Ilya always double checks form to make sure I don't injure myself and carefully explains each exercise so that I am able to do them on my own while working out during the rest of the week.
